Adventure Photography

“Adventure photography” is a bold title, but it captures my philosophy toward the medium. I’m an adventurous person by nature, and that energy is woven into every image I create. Many photographers come to the outdoors because of their camera; for me, it’s always been the other way around. My background in ultra-distance cycling and teaching woodland skills means my connection to the natural world runs deeper than simple enjoyment. I’m not a spectator — I’m an active participant.

This is especially clear in my blog, where I document my adventures both close to home and farther afield.

This level of immersion allows me to photograph the feeling of an adventure, not just the scenery around it. I highlight the relationship between people and place, capturing the atmosphere, grit, and quiet moments that define time spent outdoors. This approach underpins the work I create for outdoor-focused brands and businesses. My documentary style presents products as they’re meant to be used — in real environments, in real conditions — forming rich visual narratives that share your passion for the outdoors with authenticity and purpose.
