First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit my website. It’s been both challenging and rewarding to create a space where I can focus my work and share it with a wider audience. I’m genuinely excited to see where things go now that our paths have crossed — but before that, I should probably introduce myself properly.

My name’s Robert, though please feel free to call me Rob. I’m in my mid-thirties and recently married to my wife, Louisa. For the past three years, we’ve lived, worked, and travelled in our van alongside our opinionated rabbit, Percy. I’ve spent over 15 years behind the camera, both professionally and personally — it’s rarely far from my side. Photography is how I document my time, my adventures, and ultimately how I connect with the world and the people in it.

Outside of photography, I’m a long-distance cyclist — something that’s shaped much of who I am. Over the years, I’ve raced on the track, toured across countries, and most recently taken up gravel racing. The bike is my escape from the modern world — fast enough to carry me far, but slow enough to really experience what’s around me.

Time spent on the bike has taught me countless lessons, mostly through trial and error — from fixing mechanicals to managing my own headspace. That curiosity led me to study psychology, which eventually brought me into education. Combining that with my love of the outdoors, I began developing outdoor therapy programmes for young adults with special educational needs — helping them reconnect with learning and build confidence for their futures.

It’s work I still do each week with a small group of learners, and it’s something I’m incredibly proud of. If you’re interested, you can read more about that in the Mentoring section of this site.

This space is a reflection of how I see the world. Through photography and writing, I try to make sense of where I’ve been and what I’ve learned — whether that’s through a project, a story from the road, or just a few thoughts about the state of things.

I feel very fortunate to have found the things that give me purpose, and I hope that through sharing them, something here resonates with you too.
